Background of the war of Spartacus

In ancient Rome, everywhere, there were manors that used slave labor on a large scale. Meanwhile, the slaves were called “tools may speak”.

About Spartacus

Spartacus was captured and enslaved in an anti-Roman war. Because of his intelligence, education and strong physique, his master sent him to Gladiator school to train him to be an excellent gladiator.

At Gladiator School, Spartacus became the spiritual leader of gladiators with his courage and wisdom. He took every opportunity to persuade gladiators to die for freedom, not to be the victim of the pleasure of the Roman aristocracy.

When he organized more than 200 gladiators to prepare for the riot and uprising, accidentally spill the beans and secretive action cannot keep forward, so he decided to move ahead. As a result, about 78 people rushed out of the jail.

Insurrection process

From the end of 74 B.C. to the beginning of 73 B.C., the Spartacus Rebellion grew rapidly, hosting a large number of escaped slaves, gladiatorial soil, bankrupt peasants and soldiers escaping from the Roman Legion in Campania, amounting to 10,000 people, who defeated many small units of the Roman Army for many times. The uprising spread from Campagna to Aprilia, Lucania (Basilicata) and Brutium in southern Italy.
